Very dirty beach - lots of piles of rubbish. Sand itself is lovely as is the sea but not cared for and a shocking amount of waste on the beach and at the water's edge.

Wide beach with fine sand...dirty beach due to the incivility of human beings.
Clear water but full of jellyfish of all kinds. Looking to the left you can see the ilva... and it's not a pretty sight to be honest.
Paid parking is 1 euro per hour and fraction of an hour. 6 euros all day.
The sea and the beach of Chiatona (Municipality of Palagiano - Taranto) are enchanting, even more so this year, with a very clear sea. There are many beaches, for those who love comfort (and confined spaces!!!), there are many free beaches, for those who love space and freedom. However, I have to make one complaint: there are very few parking spaces for disabled people and paid parking areas are also available for disabled people; for me this thing is UNCIVIL and creates a lot of discomfort. I hope that the Municipality will provide that things will be different next year.

You can choose a lido or the free beach.
The water is transparent and extremely clean, the depth increases gradually so to reach high water you have to walk a bit.
There are different currents that make the water sometimes cool or warm.
Beach also suitable for children.
The only flaw is several large or small white and brownish jellyfish that are easily visible in any case due to the clarity of the water.
I will definitely return for those traveling from Bari, the road is certainly smoother than the one to Polignano/Monopoli.
The umbrella is strongly recommended for a longer and more peaceful stay.
